Gavin John is an Alberta-based photojournalist currently living in Calgary. He graduated from SAIT Polytechnic in 2014 with a Diploma of Journalism with a major in Photojournalism. Gavin has worked in countries like Iraq and North Korea, in addition to covering Canadian Forces operations in the Philippines and the Canadian Arctic. He is currently a student of the University of Calgary studying International Relations with a focus on Middle Eastern Security and Strategy with a minor of Arabic Language and Muslim Culture. His work has been featured in PostMedia publications in Canada, Macleans Magazine, FoxNews, The Guardian, and CBC."
